Yeah, the night was red, sky split like a scream
Ship burning down in a half-lit dream
Smoke in the stars, I reached for your hands
But the lifeboats launched and I couldn't understand
One heart was my world, one heart was my light
But both slipped away in the fear and the fight
I dove in the dark, with the flames on my back
Waves like war drums, sharks in a pack
Each stroke was a prayer, each breath was a sin
I sank with my past, just to rise again
No medals, no cheers, just silence and scars
Looking up at a sky that forgot who we are
I still love you, that won’t change
Even from the fire and the long-range pain
You left me in the sea, but I found this shore
Rising from the ashes — I’m becoming more
Wish you were with me, but I’m walking alone
Heart still yours, but I’m building my own
Did you see me fight? Did you hear me cry
Or was the sound of your safety too loud to try
I held on to dreams, though the tide pulled tight
Wrote your names in the sand every single night
I’m not mad, just hollow in a quiet kind of way
Still wake up and hope you'll return one day
Love don’t die, it just changes its shape
Sometimes it’s a flame, sometimes it’s a cape
You were my anchor, my reason to run
My shadow at dusk, my breath in the sun
But ghosts don’t hug back and echoes don’t stay
And I can’t chase shadows through another lost day
I still love you, that won’t change
Even through the fire and the long-range pain
You left me in the sea, but I found this shore
Rising from the ashes — I’m becoming more
Wish you were with me, but I’m walking alone
Heart still yours, but I’m building my own
If I ever cross your mind when the night gets cold
Just know that I made it — my story got told
Not in gold or in lights, but in breath and truth
In the man that I am, and the fireproof proof
I still whisper your names to the moon when it’s high
Still send you my love on the wings of a sigh
But I walk now with purpose, not pity or rage
A new chapter inked on a salt-stained page
You were my everything, still etched in my flame
But I’m dancing through ashes, no longer the same
Not broken, just changed — not lost, just grown
Still wish you were here, but I’m finally home
